Dear Kathi Vidal,I have filed a provisional patent application for the
Pterygota Marker, application number # 63/478,158. Due to the limited duration of the provisional patent and the lack of funding from my company at the moment, I ask you to consider the possibility of conducting a patent search and registration of a patent without payment. As compensation for services rendered without charge, we are willing to offer a payment of 0.45 percent of the potential income from sales of Pterygote Marker and related software to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Since the highest priority for our company is the payment of accumulated wage arrears to our employees during the search for project funding, we were in a situation of not receiving a second round of funding until the expiration of the provisional patent application. In this regard, I am obliged to apply to you with this proposal, which will allow me to retain staff.
My
first appeal was to law firms that register intellectual property rights, but since this appeal did not receive a single response, we are forced to turn to you with a request to provide this service. We guarantee the start of sales and reimbursement of your expenses within 12 months after obtaining a patent or starting project financing, whichever comes first.
Understanding the possible conflict of interest in this situation, we are writing to you with an open letter in the firm belief that the public offer will remove all possible negative interpretations of this offer. We also agree in advance that you will conduct an enhanced review of our patent to avoid conflicts of interest. This proposal has been agreed with the company's investors and made by me as the owner and CEO of Aething Inc.
On a personal note, I would like to express my deep gratitude to you for your support of small businesses and the opportunity to reduce registration costs using the provisional patent mechanism. Without this mechanism, registration of this patent would be impossible for me.
Sincerely,
CEO
Aething Inc.
